Description
The kingdom of the Bosphorus Cimerio, was a Hellenistic Greco-Sciting Kingdom of the area around this narrow between the Taman and Crimean peninsula. Apparently the kingdom is formed in the s.v B.C. and in 438 a tyrant named Spartocus takes power. During this dynasty, the kingdom grows taking Feodosia, important to maintain an open port all year, which allowed to maintain trade. The grain exports of the kingdom had Athens as main destination. Apparently, the last Spartocidal King, I couldn”t deal with growing nomadic attacks, asked Mitridates VI, King of the Ponto, giving him the kingdom, and ending with the dynasty.
