At the death of Khanderao in 1870, his brother had to inherit the throne, but his previous behavior (including an attack towards his brother), made wait for the appointment of his posthumous descendant, which turned out to be a girl. Therefore, his brother Malharra accessed the throne in 1871, but four years later he would be deposed by the British and imprisoned, for the attempted murder of the British resident. There are no other direct descendants, it was requested that family members go to Baroda to decide descendant.
