Description

In 1701, the elector Federico III raised Duchy prussia to the kingdom, naming himself as Federico I, King of Prussia. Federico enhanced the Court promoting the arts, at the expense of the treasure. His son Federico Guillermo I, the welded king, which I believe largely the bureaucracy and military organization that would largely based the kingdom would be based. In the Stockholm Treaty, after the Great North War, he incorporated half of the Swedish Pomerania. In 1740 it was happened by his son, Federico II the Great. He would participate in the Austrian Succession War between 1740 and 1748 becoming most of the Austrian Silesia (first and second Silesia wars). In the third War of Silesia, encompassed in the 7 -year war, he managed to take control of the missing parts. Silesia greatly increased the richness of the New Kingdom and the victories on the battlefield against Austria, boosted Prussia to the state of great European power. Federico II was an illustrated absolutist, understanding himself as the first server of the State. In his last years he participated in the partition of Poland with Austria and Russia, and Voltaire”s friend introduced the Civil Code, and the separation of justice. In addition, secondary education enhances being emulated in other countries. His successor participated in the other separations of Poland, and Prussia was calm after the peace of Basel of 1795, after having been very active against the French Republic. He would return to war in 1806, being totally defeated in Jena by Napoleon. After the defeat, the kingdom lost 1/3 of the territory to feed the Duchy of Warsaw, and in practice it became a French satellite.
