Description

Magdeburg is the capital of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, located on Elba. Like so many other locations, Magdeburg issued Notgeld, or necessity of need during World War I, to alleviate the lack of circulating caused by the war. This need was increased by the need for non -precious metals in the manufacture of war supplies, and many companies and municipalities issued these coins of need for very varied ways. Magdeburg began the broadcast in full war, and continuously emitting war until the time of hyperinflation, where it did not matter how much it was emitted, always needed more when losing value the currency quickly.
