Description
Durante la Revolución, Bélgica es ocupada por Francia y la ciudad de Amberes es tomada en 1792 y posteriormente en 1794. Los ingleses asedian Amberes en febrero de 1814. Un destacamento mandado por Carnot defiende la ciudad, dónde se acuñan estas monedas de emergencia. El 1 de mayo, tras la primera restauración, Carnot acepta la rendición de la ciudad siguiendo las órdenes del nuevo gobierno francés (Luis XVIII).

During the revolution, Belgium is occupied by France and the city of Antwerp is taken in 1792 and subsequently in 1794. The English besieged Antwerp in February 1814. A detachment sent by Carnot defends the city, where these emergency coins are coined. On May 1, after the first restoration, Carnot accepts the surrender of the city following the orders of the new French government (Louis XVIII).
