Description
In 1717 the first coins for circulation in America were going to be issued in Perpigna, but copper was defective, and few pieces were issued. Previously, emissions had been coins of French types, with some years sent to the New World. This time it was a different guy for circulation in America. In 1721 and 1722, in Rouen and La Rochelle, a second specific broadcast would be made that this time would be coined. The 9 -deniers were sent to Canada, but they had no good acceptance. They considered pieces with low weight. They were finally returned, and the French government put them into circulation by New Orleans with a value of 6 deniers. Subsequently, the issuance of 1767 of 12 deniers would not be accepted, and would end up being countermarked and put into circulation in Guadalupe with value of 9 deniers. Finally we have the emissions of Carlos X and Luis Felipe de Orleans, with some years for specific destinations: 1825a: Senegal and Cayenne. 1827h: Martinica and Guadalupe 1828, 1829, 1830: Guayana 1839 and 1841: Martnica and Guadalupe 1843 and 1844: Marquesas Islands
