Description

The Scindia dynasty is founded at the beginning of the s. XVIII within the Marathha Confederation, and the Scindia state of Gwalior is established in 1731, becoming one of the most important in Central India. He participated remarkably in the three Anglo-Charatha wars, and after the loss of the third, he had no choice but to accept the conversion in the princely state of the British in 1818, giving them Ajmer. The continuous family in control until the independence of India, and some of its members were reconciled in politicians.
