Description
In 1819, the British mediated in the conflict between Sailana and Gwalior, accepting British protection, and accepting the payment of a tribute to Gwalior. From this moment, the state integrated into the British RAJ remains. The following rulers were quite dealing with the development of the region, and especially education. When the British RAJ came to an end, education and health in the state were free, and there was some industrialization, despite being an eminently agrarian society. In 1948 the State joined the Indian Union with the acceptance of the slit.
