Description

At the death of the last Sultan Saadi of Morocco, Al-Walid Ibn Zaydan, in AH1045 (1636), the power to its distant cousins, the Alauitas Sultans. All Alaruitas sultans took the title of Muley, with meaning of teacher, pattern or protector, but that client”s denote (of the caliph). The kingdom will be dominated by the centralization facing local powers. In the mid -19th century, conflicts begin with the growing European control, recognizing the French and Spanish protectorate in 1912.
