Description

In 1923, the treaty of friendship with the British was signed in which they first recognized Nepal as an independent kingdom with the ability to draw their own foreign policy. Although there was no change of government in the country, which continued under the frog regime, it was an important guarantee of independence. The frog regime with which this era begins, is considered a totalitarian era in which the monarch Shah is converted into a puppet, and the important positions of the government are converted into hereditary and controlled by the frog dynasty. After the independence of India, new airs of freedom arrived, and activism grew, managing to transform the country into a parliamentary democracy in 1951. After a decade she convuls between the king and the Parliament, that term democracy, prohibiting political parties and establishing the Panchayat system that would modernize the country, and create infrastructure, but restricting the liberated ones. In 1990, a popular movement forced the king to accept a new constitution, establishing a multiparite democracy again. In 1996 the civil war between the Communist Party (Maoist) and the Royal Government of the country, which would conclude with the 2006 Democratic Revolution, declared in 2008 the Federal Republic of Nepal
